HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

We offer a range of activities aimed at socially isolated, vulnerable adults (e.g. the elderly, those with mental and physical disabilities) that give opportunities for individuals to meet new people, increase their social interaction and build new social relationships through the connections they make.  This leads to reduced feelings of loneliness and isolation and improves their emotional and mental well-being.

PEER MENTORS

The most socially isolated residents in the local community are ‘Peer Mentor’ volunteers here at Pennywell Neighbourhood Centre and support the engagement of the most vulnerable local people. Peer Mentors work alongside the Peer Mentor Support Worker to offer encouragement, assist with session delivery and help other project users play a leading role in designing and delivering the programme of activities.
